It’s true. Yesterday I turned 32. Doesn’t mean I have to act my age, right?
We played it safe at first. A small, traditional sledding hill, lots of snow. The kids hiked up and sled down. It was fun for a while.
Next up, making gingerbread pops. Sounds like fun, right? Look at all that frosting and gumdrops and sprinkles! I think more frosting went into mouths than onto gingerbread men.
After re-fueling with lots of sugar, it was back out to sled! This time however, we braved the ice covered drive way. Some fared better than others!
First came Nick and Emilie Lynn.
Then Ed and Emily Claire. Both pairs flew down the driveway, no problem.
Sean and Dylan. No problems there!
Griffin did not fare quite as well. He biffed it, luckily into a snow bank.
Gage couldn’t seem to avoid hitting the ditch, he only made it about 1/4 of the way down the driveway.
Lexi struggled with the steering.
Tanya and Enzo got stuck halfway and just spun around!
It looks like we’re finally making some progress! The dining room has been primed twice, the ceiling primed and painted. Sean and I worked hard on Monday to get some work done to the dining room.
Dylan came home from Mimi’s to help too. Next up, steaming wallpaper off the living room.
